About The Reign Awards
SMPS Oregon and Seattle partner together for the annual Reign Awards program recognizes excellence in marketing communications and outstanding achievements of top marketing professionals. Submitting for the Reign Awards provides firms with an unparalleled opportunity for peer recognition and expert feedback. Communications awards will be given to A/E/C firms whose materials and campaigns most compellingly achieve their firms’ marketing goals. As part of the program, the individual merit awards celebrate outstanding achievements within our industry, honoring exceptional individuals in categories such as rising star, marketing advocate, and marketer of the year.

2026 Reign Awards Call for Project Entries and Merit Nominations Now Open!
Award season has officially begun, and it’s no different for SMPS Oregon and Seattle – the call for project entries and merit nominations for the SMPS Oregon and Seattle’s Reign Awards program is officially open! It’s time to celebrate you and your firm’s accomplishments by submitting some of your best marketing and communications projects over the past year. All project awards entries/individual merit nominations must be received by April 20th. To receive the early entry discount, please submit by March 16th. Award submittals are open to both member and non-member firms and individuals. See below for details on how to submit.
About the Project Awards
Project Awards will be awarded to A/E/C firms whose materials and campaigns effectively achieve their marketing goals. The criteria for winning these awards will be based on compelling results demonstrated by the firms.

The Individual Merit Awards are designed to recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals within our industry. This award category celebrates individuals who have made exceptional contributions and accomplishments in their respective roles.

SUBMIT A PROJECT ENTRY OR MERIT NOMINATION
Call for Judges and Emcees
Calling all SMPS members and non-members interested in judging or emceeing the SMPS Seattle’s Reign Awards! We are looking for professionals who exemplify extensive experience, knowledge, and understanding of marketing, communications, and creative services. This could include A/E/C professionals or professionals from a related communications industry who have had significant experience with marketing collateral, event planning, graphics, digital media, website design, or branding. And understanding of the A/E/C industry is a bonus, but not required. Submissions are due Monday, March 27th.
Judges:
Judges need not be an SMPS member, nor do they need to have attended an SMPS event in the past but having a general appreciation and understanding of the chapter’s mission and the A/E/C industry is preferred. Preference will be given to individuals with 7-plus years of experience in the A/E/C industry or a related communications field.
Time Requirements

Review Submissions prior to judging session. Time commitment: 4-8 hours within the week prior to the judging session.

Attend judging session with other judges. Time commitment: 4-6 hours.

Participate as judge representative at the Reign Awards, which includes providing commentary on the individual awards in front of an audience. Time commitment: 4 hours.
Emcees:
A successful emcee is someone who has been involved with and understands the mission of SMPS Seattle, is comfortable being recorded and/or speaking at the event and understands being a marketer or business developer in the A/E/C industry. Prior attendance at a Reign Awards event is preferred but not necessary. No other previous experience required, nor is being a member of SMPS.
Time Requirements

Work with the SMPS Seattle Special Events Committee and co-hosts on program content. Time commitment: 10+ hours.

Rehearsal time with the SMPS Seattle Special Events Committee and co-hosts. Time commitment: 2+ hours.

Participate in the Reign Awards. Time commitment: 4 hours.
