Committees
Involvement with a committee is the best way to get the most out of your SMPS membership and connect with other members. While providing a service to others, committee involvement is the perfect opportunity to promote your firm, gain leadership skills, and advance in your career.
To begin the process, you can either contact our Membership Director to talk about the opportunities available to a new volunteer or you can contact any of the Committee Directors listed below to discuss what their needs might be on their committees.
And remember, this is not just about what experience you can bring to a SMPS committee. Serving on a committee can provide you with new experiences you haven’t been able to gain through your current firm. Just because you’ve never planned a golf tournament or panel discussion or educational event, doesn’t mean you are not a good fit for our one of our Committees— Joining a committee can provide you with additional marketing and business development tools to help grow your professional skills and opportunities.
The volunteers listed below are an important reason SMPS Oregon is successful. Most committees meet on a monthly basis and assign tasks to the volunteers that they can complete throughout the month.
